SAS2 - Software
CLIP is a web application to support use of the SAS² technique Social Analysis CLIP (PDF document, 552 KB). The SAS² technique helps you create profiles of the parties involved in a core problem or proposed action based on four factors: 1) existing relations of collaboration and conflict 2) legitimacy, 3) interests , and 4) power. Data from use of this technique can be entered into CLIP online for display and remote sharing with others, or offline for independent use. The table results from the web application can be printed using normal printer connections, or exported to a .svg format for refinements in graphics software such as Adobe Illustrator. CLIP uses Adobe Air, a free runtime platform for web applications, and currently operates in English, French and Spanish. Software developers are welcome to contact sas2international@sas2.net if they would like permission to futher develop the CLIP web application or create other language options.
Rep V and its web-based version WebGrid V are software tools developed at the University of Calgary for use in Personal Construct Psychology inspired by the work of George Kelly. The software can be used with data from the various Domain Analysis tools in SAS2 to do cluster analysis and principal component analysis. These tools help you examine how people view a topic area using words and characteristics that participants themselves choose and define.
Standard spreadsheet software such as MS Excel have graphics functions that support the use of many SAS² tools. For example, the graph Radar in Excel can be used to display and compare ratings generated with The Socratie Wheel. The XY (Scatter) plot can be modified to display a Cartesian Graph used in tools such as Validation and Causal Dynamics. Please consult instructions in these programs for details.
